'Christmas In A Day'

'Christmas In A Day' is a film from Sainsbury's, clips of the film have been made into adverts for promoting what christmas is to british people. It shows a numerous number of families across the country celebrating the season.

'Christmas In A Day' is such a great film, the production of it is simple yet clever. I will tell you how it was produced. In 2012 many people across the UK were given cameras to film their happy or not so happy moments of christmas 2012. There is only just over a 100 or less people shown in this film, so they must of been picked out of thousands of people.

The director 'Kevin Macdonald' made this film not just a load of jumbled up footage from families but a powerful and immersive film showing what christmas is like to us brits. The film also highlights people in Britain who don't have a 'normal' christmas and they have to spend it alone.

The film is a great watch and really grabs the attention of an average person as you can really relate to it. The film and the advertisement is a fantastic idea that really show you the heart of the holiday, but also personally it is better than some of the more expensive advert this year (John Lewis with 'The Bare and The Hare' costing around £7 Million to produce) This was just a little under, but worth the money. Sainsbury's took the full advantage of the video platform 'Youtube' to show their film, which personally was a great way to present it.

What was your favourite christmas advert of 2013? What do you think of Sainsbury's 'Christmas In A Day' film?

Amazon Prime Air

What do you think?

Amazon Prime Air what is it?

Amazon Prime Air is a new idea from the leading company Amazon, obviously they have been thinking of this for a long time now, but they have only just announced their ideas to the public. Amazon Prime Air will supposedly deliver items that are under the weight limit, on time, with an un manned drone. I say supposedly because I am really unsure how this going to work. Anyway, Amazon Prime Air will be able to deliver your item within 30 mins.

What are the implications that Amazon will need to take into consideration?

Firstly, GPS systems, at the moment most GPS systems are quite accurate most of the time, most of the time will not be the answer for Amazon, as if they want the delivery of the product to be a smooth as their advertisement then they really need to spend some time and money on perfecting the systems.

Secondly, Landing, where are the drones going to know where to land, this will be very difficult to predict as they will need to have a stable place to land, or the drone will crash, many of us have gardens and gates and other objects that can get in the way, (unless Amazon will tell you to clear your driveway). This also links into people who live in apartments/flats, how will the drone get to them?

Lastly, They will have to consider the weather, if it is strong winds on a certain will they cease the deliveries for that day? By the looks of things and logic the drones look like light weight aircrafts which is a hard job to keep in the air, and also harder to keep in the air with public able to interfere with the craft.

Overall, This will be a great idea, and would save so much time but I think it will take a lot of time, but I forgot to mention non of this will be needed to consider if Amazon don't successfully achieve one thing, is to get their crafts approved, it is such a safety risk for many reasons as you could imagine, Amazon are going to have a tough job ensuring that crafts are safe and reliable.

Hello World!

Welcome,

Ok I will try this again, if your wondering what the heck I am on about, I have accidentally clicked off this page 3 times without saving what I am typing, which is making me very angry!

If you would like one being produced email me at: kadebeadman@gmail.com. Anyway moving on, I am going off on a tangent here, so yes, the blog. I will be blogging about many things that is why it is a 'variety' blog (if you haven't guessed that already). I will be talking about matters in the world and sharing my opinion to you, if your passionate about something and you want to tell me your views then comment or contact me, I love to have debates about different matters, so don't hesitate to tell me.

I hope that you all get involved and technology may dominate around Apple events, but I will try and keep a variety.

See you next week!
